Agendas

Please take the time to check your child's agenda and folders EACH NIGHT. Third grade is a huge year for organization and responsibility. Until January (or before if we're ready!), we'll be talking the students through the end of the day routine that can determine organizational skills for your child's school career. This routine is recording assignments in their agenda and packing the materials they need for homework. Encourage them to record assignments and pack all of their materials for their assignments. The agenda is a wonderful communication tool for us to communicate with you as well...be sure to check it DAILY!

Testing

There will be a New York State English/Language Arts exam for third graders in JANUARY.

There will be a New York State Math exam for third graders on MARCH 6.

Be sure your child has a good night's sleep the night before and a healthy breakfast!

Supply List

· 12 pencils (sharpened if possible)

· Eraser

· 2 packages filler paper-wide lined only

· 5 pocket folders with 3 hold punch inside tabs (to attach paper inside)

o 1 red folder

o 1 green folder

o 1 blue folder

o 1 yellow folder

o 1 to choose!

· colored pencils

· crayons

· markers

· 2 glue sticks

· 3 subject spiral notebook

· 1 EXPO dry erase marker
