Money Procedures

dollars.jpg

The money situation at school can be very confusing at times.  We’ll try to explain it the easiest way possible.  If there are still questions please feel free to contact us or the cafeteria staff.

Lunch Money:  Regular lunch price is $1.25 for lunch purchased at school.  That’s for peanut butter and jelly or the second choice of the day.   Some people may qualify for reduced lunch.  If you think you do, please ask for the paper work and We’ll get it to you ASAP.  Once it goes through, you will be informed if it was accepted or not.  You may pay lunch each day or you can pre-pay for a week, month, or a set number of days-whatever is easier for you.  Remember to send all money in an envelope with your child’s name and teacher's name on it and labeled what it is for.

Snack Milk:  Snack milk is completely separate from lunch money.  Each day we have a snack time.  During this time we have a snack provided by a student or ourself and milk.  It is not mandatory that your child has milk at this time but most like to have it.  Ultimately it is up to you whether or not to buy them milk.  Milk costs $.30 cents a day or you can purchase a milk ticket for $3.00 for 10 milks.  We keep track each day who does or does not have milk and punch their ticket accordingly.  When their ticket is used up, we will send home a money envelope letting you know that they need a new ticket.  Also, if you chose to, you may send in a drink from home for your child if you rather they have something different.

Breakfast:  Children are allowed to eat breakfast every day at school for 75 cents if you would like them to.

If you forget to send lunch money your child is allowed to charge their lunch.  The cafeteria staff will send you a slip letting you know you owe money.  Sometimes a couple of days will pass before you get a note (just incase you get a note on a day you know that you paid for).  I know things can get a little crazy and we all forget sometimes so don’t worry if you do.  Hopefully we cleared up any confusion.

Special Classes

ComputerStudents will go to computer room with their teachers randomly.  Students also have access to computers daily in the classroom.

Reminders

SNACK
Each month you will receive a snack calendar.  Please provide enough snacks for 20 little ones on your child’s snack day.  They get hungry working hard all day.  Milk is available at snack-time for $.30 a day or you may purchase a milk ticket for $3.00 for 10 milks.  We will send an envelope each time your child uses up their milk ticket.

MONEY
All money being sent to school should be labeled with your child’s name, what it is for, and my name in case it gets lost.  Remember lunch and breakfast money are up to you to take care of.  If you would like to send money in ahead of time for the week, month, or a set number of days, please do so and save yourself from getting charges.

FOLDERS
Folders are a very important!!!  They are an easy way for us to communicate.  Any notes, money, or any other important information should be sent in the folders.  Please be sure to check your child’s folder each night.  Also, encourage your child to tell you about their day- discuss papers in their folders.  Every now and then, there will be extra paper for your child to work on at home with you.  Please assist them and return that paper to school. All papers on the left are to stay home.  Any papers on the right should be checked and returned to school.

EXTRA CLOTHES
Please provide extra clothes for your child to keep in their locker.  There are times when we have spills or accidents and the students feel more comfortable if they are able to change into their own clothes.

CONTACT

If at anytime, you need to reach us you can call the school at 568-7023.  If we are unavailable, we will get back to you A.S.A.P.
