Money Procedures

The money situation at school can be very confusing at times. We’ll try to explain it the easiest way possible. If there are still questions please feel free to contact us or the cafeteria staff.
Lunch Money: Regular lunch price is $1.25 for lunch purchased at school. That’s for peanut butter and jelly or the second choice of the day. Some people may qualify for reduced lunch. If you think you do, please ask for the paper work and We’ll get it to you ASAP. Once it goes through, you will be informed if it was accepted or not. You may pay lunch each day or you can pre-pay for a week, month, or a set number of days-whatever is easier for you. Remember to send all money in an envelope with your child’s name and teacher's name on it and labeled what it is for.
Snack Milk: Snack milk is completely separate from lunch money. Each day we have a snack time. During this time we have a snack provided by a student or ourself and milk. It is not mandatory that your child has milk at this time but most like to have it. Ultimately it is up to you whether or not to buy them milk. Milk costs $.30 cents a day or you can purchase a milk ticket for $3.00 for 10 milks. We keep track each day who does or does not have milk and punch their ticket accordingly. When their ticket is used up, we will send home a money envelope letting you know that they need a new ticket. Also, if you chose to, you may send in a drink from home for your child if you rather they have something different.
Breakfast: Children are allowed to eat breakfast every day at school for 75 cents if you would like them to.
If you forget to send lunch money your child is allowed to charge their lunch. The cafeteria staff will send you a slip letting you know you owe money. Sometimes a couple of days will pass before you get a note (just incase you get a note on a day you know that you paid for). I know things can get a little crazy and we all forget sometimes so don’t worry if you do. Hopefully we cleared up any confusion.
Special Classes

Physical Education: Children should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes.
Art: Children will need an art smock or oversized shirt to cover their clothes.
Music: Bring your singing voices.
Library: Students will attend Library to exchange library books. Books stay in the classroom and cannot come home in Kindergarten.
Computer: Students will go to computer room with their teachers randomly. Students also have access to computers daily in the classroom.
Recess: Children will go outside on a daily basis-weather permitting. Please be sure that your child has appropriate clothing-especially in the winter months.
